Children’s and Family Activities

At Foxwood Resort we cater to families with children and strongly believe that if your kids have a good time, so will you. Our summer Children’s and Family Activities run Monday to Friday and include a mix of resort led activities that take place both on and off site. The activities are interesting and varied and we make every effort to cater to both young and old. A typical week may include a few days with crafts in the morning, followed by an hour of organized games in the afternoon and then another day may be an off site excursion to one of the great hiking, adventure or paddling spots in the area. Most of these activities are offered at no charge, however some have an additional cost associated.

Many like to swim from our main dock which extends 70 ft out or to our swim raft where the water is around 6 ft deep. Beyond is our water trampoline which is very popular for everyone young and old. The more adventurous can join our organized weekly swims to Haystack Island, 800m away. By the end of June water temperatures in the lake are normally 20 – 25C (70-80F). bigwin
Fishing on Lake of Bays is excellent. The major species in the lake are bass, whitefish and lake trout. Smaller fish can be caught right off our dock and good catches of bass, 4 lbs or larger, are just offshore. Lake trout of 6lbs and up are in deeper waters and whitefish are normally caught through the ice in winter.
